A lot of athletes have been in the news these days for drug use.
Today it has come up that Hope Solo got a public warning for a positive prohibited substance. But, of course, Hope has all the excuses in the world on why this was in her system.
"Solo was taking a prescribed medication, in a therapeutic dose under the care of a physician. The medication when metabolized resulted in the adverse analytical finding."
So why does she get a public warning if it is clear that she was taking meds prescribed by her doctor?
Why are we even notified?
This is the biggest bunch of bull shitted sentence I have ever read.
Do they really think we are this stupid? I guess so!
She was taking a "pre-menstrual" something er other. While the name of the drug is not mentioned in the article, what in the HELL could she be taking that when "metabolized" could set off a drug test? If you have cramps lady, you take a Midol. Buy a heating pad.
So, Ms. Solo can still be in the London Olympics - I guess that's what happens when your doctor makes a no no! He immediately comes out with, "No it's MY fault! I mistakenly gave her this - blah blah blah."
You know who else's doctor made a No no Hope? Michael Jackson's. I wonder how he is doing these days. Hrm.
Seriously Hope, you have pre-menstrual problems - get some damn Midol!
Also, Olympics, how about we change some rules?
We have so many "rule breakers", and such a silly little rule over a simple drug to mask the other drug she was obviously taking so "carefully under a doctors care.".
We need to change the rules.
Bottom line, she took a banned substance in the organization. She gets away with it.
Hope Solo - One.
Drugs - Zero.
