I am seriously sick and tired of this word.
I am a young white female.
I do not say this horrific word, and my daughter will not say it either.
It actually offends ME, as a white person, when people say it around me.
What happens one day when I am walking with my daughter, and you throw out that word in your own conversation, and my daughter picks it up?
I will flip the fuck out, that's what.

When I google this word, the first thing that comes up is "Saggin" which is the bad word, spelled backwards.
Saggin is what boys do when they wear their pants around their ankles. They think this looks "cool" or something. It looks stupid, and I tell you what boy. You teach my child that word, and I will GUARANTEE that your pants will be down around your ankles and everyone everywhere will see your dirty ass underwear.
You guys seriously look like IDIOTS walking like penguins to keep your pants up. Do you realize that we are laughing AT you? Maybe not to your face, but we are laughing. A lot.

Sure you think you are making a statement these days by "sagging" your pants, and thinking you look cool.

More Voter ID Issues
Really America? We can't do one thing right? Our government is moronic if they can't figure out anything!
Make the states provide voter registration cards WITH a photograph of the person it was issued to. if they can do for drivers licences they can do it for voter registration cards.
I am so sick of hearing about this damn VoterID Law! Either do it, or don't. Dont drone on about it for 4 more years!

Now, where is the issue in this? People are putting so much emphasis on voting and who's voting, and etc, and it's like... ANYONE can go vote?

They don't ask for a picture ID. I should go in there and say "I'm Barak Obama!" ... "but my name is on the list there sir!"
It's just silly to me that we just keep beating around the bush.
Simple problem - No Id. No Vote. No Problem.
My first time voting I took my Voters Registration card, my ID and went in to vote. My cardboard card with no picture was the only thing they wanted. She didn't even want to see my ID.
I have not voted since. Sorry.
It's not fair terms to vote on, so I don't vote.

Quick Update
Just a quick update for my 3 whole blog readers! Okay okay, all 4 of you! All four of you are so special, I wanted my readers to know that. Not you number 5, just 1-4. Don't ever get confused.
Had a wonderful and fantastic 4th of July. We swam, Skyleigh wore her new cute 4th outfit, and I snacked all day and ate lots of hot dogs. I'm not a hamburger fan. I also made a "confetti" cake, but It didn't turn out the way I had planned it to.
I have been sick these past few days. Horrible cough, I fear I may cough up a lung one of these times! I feel better now! A few days ago I came up to work and worked a few hours. I kept feeling hot and cold, then super hot. Then I couldn't breathe. It was not fun!
My phone has been turned off :( I have to pay my bill tomorrow. I forgot all about it! Haha. Normally they send me this stupid text (With my Metro Piece of Shit phone), but I must have deleted it or something. Oh well! Just one more day without service. So glad I spent 4.99 on TweetCasterPro so that I can use it when my phone is off! It took the "4g" away as well, but when it does connect to the internet - I still get the internet! That's all I care about! :D

Voting
So, Obamacare has passed. I suppose this is the time when the USA implodes upon it's self. It's funny how a system, America, one of the greatest in the world is doing this.
In college I was taught to be proud of what we had created (us as "America"), because we have been able to do it in less than 300 years. China and GB and the UK have been at this for much longer.
While I am not proud that I am being forced to buy into a tax sceme, I am very proud of the fact that I live in America.
A big argument these days is voting.
Now, first I'd like to point out that registering to vote, and actually voting are two totally different things.
I am a registered voter. I vote, if needed. I have not voted in a few years.
Now, before I had to move back in with my mommy, I had my own apartment. I was attempting to better my life by myself with my child. It is too expensive to live by myself; lesson learned.
I applied for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), and also Food Stamps. I was able to get both. I can no longer get these because I make too much money. (I dont see how, she said it's only like 100 above what your supposed to get) but bottom line when I went back in once I had the child support "figured out" (Still was not receiving it, but it was "set up", I wasn't allowed to get Food Stamps anymore because of the 67 bucks a week I was SUPPOSED to be getting.
So, I stick with my WIC.
Every time I go into WIC to renew my benefits, he would always ask me if I was registered to vote. Of course, I am, so I always answered yes. This was not documented for my next visit, because he asked me every time. Can you get kicked off the voters registration list? LOL. I'd have to sign my name on the "I can vote" line, and signing that I did not need to register.
So, Ms. Mexican Mamacita can come in, not know a lick of English, apply for benefits (Because they have the application in Spanish available as well), and feed her 4 kids? But I can't feed one? Really? REALLY AMERICA?!
I have waited in that waiting room with people i was SURE were illegally here. Where are their papers? Do we check those? Or do we just care if they can vote or not? We cater to them, learning Spanish and basically giving them our hand-me-downs.
Now, once voting day does come, that is when we find out who the actual voters are. I can be a "voter" and not vote. I'd like to know what happens to the WIC people who are not voters, and do not want to sign up to vote. Are they kicked out of the program? Are they added to another list that does not get documented too? Or do we all paint on these papers and hang them up and stare at them>
It's just frustrating to be turned down for something, when other people around me are getting it as well? If that makes sense? I know it's complaining but it's very silly the strategy that is doing all this. America, are we not going to talk about the man that goes into the Gas Station and buys 300 bucks of nothing on his Food Stamp card, only to get the cash handed to him? I bet you 300 more dollars that money is NOT buying food. And here I am almost starving, while you are also giving away free cell phones.
If we are going to raise taxes, shouldn't we take away some of the things we already have in place? Granted, I have not (nor will I) read the page by page declaration from this idiot, but I do know that in a year I plan to buy a car. I am almost convinced myself that I will not get this car now.
So, what do the elders of America say? Go out and vote. Go out and change something. Because, "Your vote matters."

I dont like any of the candidates, they are all placed and "offered" to us by the media. They are just the face of america.
When do I get to vote to get new Congress? Where is that vote? That vote will never happen.
So, thank you to Obama for ruining my financial life. I work two jobs to try and save money and now I have to pay even more!
Once we get a handle on the immigrants I'm sure things will settle down. But he has other things on his plate.
Like the fact that someone told me there is a "wall" between Mexico and Texas and that no on, and I quote, "Can walk across."
Wrong.
My college history teacher did a VIDEO of him and three friends going to Mexico and walking back across the border. I had to sit through three days of this video, don't tell me there is a fucking wall. When they are neck high in water, don't tell me there is a wall.

4th Of July Party Ideas
The 4th Of July is right around the corner, and if you are like me you like to decorate.
We have a pool and normally host a huge pool party every year, but sadly haven't heard anything about it this year yet.
Most of these pictures I found off Pinterest, and none of them are mine. Your local Craft store, Joanne's Fabrics or even Wal-Mart has all of the supplies you will need for anything down here. Most are easy and I doubt would take long at all!
We have a pool and normally host a huge pool party every year, but sadly haven't heard anything about it this year yet.

First party idea comes from everyone's favorite: Strawberries!
Obviously step one is get some strawberries. Other ingredients include white chocolate and blue sprinkles. Great for a snack at your 4th festivities!
Cute little ring for kids? Easy to make!
Here is a neat idea to get the kids involved before they run around like ! Red and Blue paint and something everyone has, hand prints! Footprints! Fun! Make one for Grandma, or maybe an Christmas Present (to save for Christmas of course!)
This was a cute decoration idea I wish I had thought of! Great for Memorial Day, and of course the 4th Of July. Red beans, white beans, and blue beans. I can't think of any beans that are blue off the top of my head, but I'm sure you can shop around. They do make see through bags, also check your local craft store! Coffee beans might be an idea as well! Or even M&M's!

This time of the year really means something to me. I love America. I know people that have died in wars, and taken their own life as a result of this pointless war. I know military men and women who bust their ass everyday. It is time to say Happy Birthday to Mrs. America herself, not some blonde plastic barbie doll! It is a very hard time (especially the day before) for me, because in many ways "America's" government system has failed my military friends.

Bullying - Part Deux
I slightly grazed the subject of "bullying" in my first blog called "Home Schooling." So, more bullying problems in today's world.
This particular instance/case was mentioned to me yesterday by my boss. -
On the east coast we have asshole children on a bus, publicly "dissing" the bus monitor. Karen Klein was ridiculed on a bus full of kids, and another student secretly video recorded it.

Once again, I am ashamed to call myself an American. Whomever the young man is in the video (he's off camera) and he snaps back with something along the lines of, "Why don't you shut your ******* mouth...." I am STUNNED.
What happened to respect your elders? You obviously talk to your parents this way, and that is shameful upon it's self. I was taught to respect my elders, listen to them, and to never ever cuss around them.
I remember the first time I said "shit" around my dad, I think I was 20, and it was in the car. I was more afraid of HIS reaction than I was of the car I had almost hit!
Bullying is a problem that starts at home. The PARENTS need to control how their kids act. What they are taught. If they are taught to be mean, they are going to be mean.
I was taught not to cuss. Not to be mean.
Kinda like a pit bull. You take that innocent little puppy and raise him to be "mean", he is going to be mean! Why are we raising our children to be mean?????!!!!!!
My step father was picking up my daughter from the baby sitter, and mentioned the little brat who always says, "Oh that's Skyleigh, we don't like her." Still not sure how to react to that who issue.
But we also have wonderful people of the world who are raising money for Ms. Klein. She lost her son in a horrific way, and she may not be the richest person in the world, but you know what kids of America? She is better in SO MANY WAYS than you will EVER be. I hope they kick those kids out of school, something drastic needs to be done. Ms. Klein - If I was you in this situation - I would have pulled that bus over and made those children walk. I would have gone up to their house, asked to speak with their parents and showed them the video.
Even when I went to high school almost 10 years ago, the bus was a scary idea to ride. You are alone - no mom and dad. I was a "quiet" person, and I will be the first to admit I was made fun of and bullied in school. Walking onto the bus and having no one move over for you, I have been there. Backpacks placed in seats because someone did want to move it or move over. Praying for their to be an open seat, because if not then you had to ask?!
We need to show America, show our children that we are not kidding around. I don't want another school massacre because we turned our heads the other way. This problem is not going to go away, I don't see why we are just sitting around waiting for the next news story.
I understand high school is hard. School is hard. Life is hard. But you know what? Everyone has to do it! You are no different. Once you walk into my door, you are like family to me. I would never ever be rude to a stranger, unless they are rude to me first. Isn't their a golden rule of Treat others how you would like to be treated? I hope that boy on the bus gets stepped on repeatedly.
But these kids that are bullies are going to graduate High School and enter into this big big huge world and realize - ah shit! The world DOESN'T revolve around me! Bullying this person get's me no where.
I don't even know where that young man get's off bullying an elderly person.
I just really hope that the school ISD is taking this seriously. Hell, it's America. I know they aren't. It's sad that I actually have to type that out!
It's time to take a stance. I am sick and tired of sitting back and watching the world implode, because we are afraid to speak our minds.
We are letting the government run this country into the ground and school's are being affected. If a simple BUS MONITOR can't stuck up for herself, then who can?! We need to get the Marine's on the bus, that's what we need to do!
"YOU SIR! Sit that ASS down and shut the fuck up! Did I say you could speak you little runt?!"
Come on, it'd be fun! Haha.
I know it may be a little harsh that I am saying such mean things about these kids, but you know what? Send them to my hotel. I'd like to meet this young man so I can show HIM how IMPORTANT he really is to this world.
Remember, if you point at someone there are always 4 fingers pointing right back at you.

Sandusky and Edwards
One trial begins, while one ends.
While I admit, I have not watched the actual trial, I have tried to keep up with each with online news-outlets.
I personally believe that the Judicial System is broken.
We have a man, Mr. John Edwards, who "could have" been spending campaign money on god knows what, involving some whore.
His wife had cancer, and Mr. Edwards couldn't keep his dick in his pants, and got another girl pregnant.
Now, this man wanted to run for President. Of course this was before the big scandal broke and no one knew.
It makes you sit back and think about our Government.
We have Secret Service men, who are sleeping with hookers.
We have extremely corrupt police and judges out there.
Congress is a fluke, and now they are presenting us with candidates that I don't even like for Presidency coming up.
I almost think the "voting" system in this country is a joke too, I've tried to understand how my vote counts. I just don't think it does.
While the entire "system" may not be broken, it is already been damned. And it still sucks.
We have one guy who is allowed (i mean, we are basically allowing him right?) to cheat on his cancer stricken wife or ex wife, whatever the heck she was, and have a "secret" child out of wedlock from a different woman. He basically had another family people. Now, while I'm sure most politicians, senators included, are very over paid for what they do, I'm sure money is playing along with this, and someone's pocket just got filled for another "look the other way"

And then, we have Mr. Sandusky. A horrible excuse for a human being. He is a man that has been allegedly molesting male children for quite a few years now. Young boys. Not men, but boys. Like ages 9-11.
I don't even know why this piece of shit is still alive. Sad that we are going to spending our precious tax dollars for him to rot in jail for the rest of his life.
I am very proud of all these boys, and men, who are testifying. It takes a great deal of courage to do what they are doing, and I wanted to let them know that this man will pay for what he has done. Maybe not in jail, maybe not here, maybe not there. But karma is a bitch, and that bitch doesn't like it when you molest little boys in the shower.
Mr. Joe Paterno knew the boys were being molested. Other staff members knew, and they have known for YEARS that "something" was going on.
I don't like football, and I never will like football. It sickens me to know some weird little old man, Mr. Paterno, KNEW about this, and continued to let it happen. He was a coach, the HEAD coach. Sadly, he died at the perfect fucking time, so we will never know the "real" truth with him knowing. I'm glad Penn State up and fired him, as he should have been.
So, the Sandusky trial begins as we hope for the Judicial system to pull through and nail him!
Edwards is still in Politics, he is on the "governments" side. Until we get a clean sweep of our ENTIRE government, I will continue to think that the government is horribly corrupt. I keep waiting to see Change (didn't obama say that?), but the only changes happening are for the worse.
It was honestly no surprise to me when they dropped everything from Edwards. It's just more proof that if you have power, money, you get what you want. And that it is okay to cheat on your wife.
I dont see why politicians can't keep it in their pants. This isn't a "new" thing.
Clinton. Yeah, remember him? He had a little problem too, and her name was Monica Lewinski.
And these are only people that have gotten CAUGHT. Put your mind around that America.
Bottom line is, I expect results of people that do wrong. Oh, but if you work for America in any sort of way, we can bypass a lot of shit and just end up pulling the case at the end!

While I admit, I have not watched the actual trial, I have tried to keep up with each with online news-outlets.
I personally believe that the Judicial System is broken.
We have a man, Mr. John Edwards, who "could have" been spending campaign money on god knows what, involving some whore.
His wife had cancer, and Mr. Edwards couldn't keep his dick in his pants, and got another girl pregnant.
Now, this man wanted to run for President. Of course this was before the big scandal broke and no one knew.
It makes you sit back and think about our Government.
We have Secret Service men, who are sleeping with hookers.
We have extremely corrupt police and judges out there.
Congress is a fluke, and now they are presenting us with candidates that I don't even like for Presidency coming up.
I almost think the "voting" system in this country is a joke too, I've tried to understand how my vote counts. I just don't think it does.
While the entire "system" may not be broken, it is already been damned. And it still sucks.
We have one guy who is allowed (i mean, we are basically allowing him right?) to cheat on his cancer stricken wife or ex wife, whatever the heck she was, and have a "secret" child out of wedlock from a different woman. He basically had another family people. Now, while I'm sure most politicians, senators included, are very over paid for what they do, I'm sure money is playing along with this, and someone's pocket just got filled for another "look the other way"

And then, we have Mr. Sandusky. A horrible excuse for a human being. He is a man that has been allegedly molesting male children for quite a few years now. Young boys. Not men, but boys. Like ages 9-11.
I don't even know why this piece of shit is still alive. Sad that we are going to spending our precious tax dollars for him to rot in jail for the rest of his life.
I am very proud of all these boys, and men, who are testifying. It takes a great deal of courage to do what they are doing, and I wanted to let them know that this man will pay for what he has done. Maybe not in jail, maybe not here, maybe not there. But karma is a bitch, and that bitch doesn't like it when you molest little boys in the shower.
Mr. Joe Paterno knew the boys were being molested. Other staff members knew, and they have known for YEARS that "something" was going on.
I don't like football, and I never will like football. It sickens me to know some weird little old man, Mr. Paterno, KNEW about this, and continued to let it happen. He was a coach, the HEAD coach. Sadly, he died at the perfect fucking time, so we will never know the "real" truth with him knowing. I'm glad Penn State up and fired him, as he should have been.

Eye Candy!
I was born with a cataract.
This is the youngest picture of myself I could find, and my cataract was in my right eye. You can see a tad bit of cloudiness, but I understand the flash is there as well.

And that's my fun story of my cataract!
The dictionary defines a cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye. This is all well and true.
My parents didn't figure out that I had a cataract until I was about 2 years old.
This is the youngest picture of myself I could find, and my cataract was in my right eye. You can see a tad bit of cloudiness, but I understand the flash is there as well.
I had corrective surgery when I was 4, receiving a donor lens. The lens did not work, but changed my eye color. (I have one blue eye and one green eye naturally. I was born with blue eyes.) My eye color changed probably when I was about 9.
When I was 8 years old, I was instructed to wear a patch. The goal was to cover up my good eye with a patch, leaving me to see (nothing) with the other one. I hated every minute of this. I remember peeling back the inside, then "peeking" as my mom would say. She'd yell, "No peeking!" and I'd have to close the patch back against my skin. I would sit on my rocking horse and rock for the amount of time I had to be in that patch.
Everything was fine until I turned 16, and was able to drive.
I will never forget the idiot woman at the DMV. I had already attended my drivers ed classes, passed, been driving for a few months, and was there to take my picture!
She has me do the eye test, so she has me read the first line. Alright, I can do that. Now, what they dont tell you, is why you are saying the letters, they switch it over to the other eye. So my screen goes black, and I looked at this woman and said, "Oh you are going to have to switch it back. I can't see out of this eye, and I'll just read a few more lines." Thinking that would be okay.
OH NO. You'd have thought this woman had seen a ghost.
A girl, who can't see out of an eye? She had never heard of such thing!!!!
Asks me to go to a eye doctor, and get him to write down that I can not see out of said eye.
So I was pissed. I hadn't been to an eye doctor in YEARS, and I'm running around town trying to find an eye doctor who can simply just write "Blind in right eye."
I ended up going to the mall (16 year old thought process, haha), and went to the LensCrafters. I explained the situation, showed him my pretty 'I have a donor lens" card, and he agreed to help me out.
He "eye tested" both of my eyes, and wrote whatever this lady needed down.
I go back to the DMV. Same lady. I get up there and she wants me to take the eye test AGAIN.
Exact same thing. "Ma'am, can you switch it back...etc."
So, before she starts in on she needs a doctors note, i wave this stupid piece of paper and my state hospital issued card.
"Please read the bottom line."
It's the tiniest line of letters, but I read it. I have IMPECCABLE vision, superhuman even, in my left eye. "My Superman eye." my mom calls it.
Finally, I got the damn picture taken. Beautiful perfect picture!

During High School, classmates actually made fun of me because I had two different eye colors. I even wore contacts to make them the same color. They would say I didn't really have a cataract, only old people have cataracts, whatever you can think of, they said it.
Everyone knew I couldn't see out of the eye, some people probably thought it was a fake or glass eye.
Nope, all my eye people. Just a dead dudes LENS. That's "inside" the eye. See, if you would have paid attention in school.... you'd know this :)
I took this picture right out of high school, and it is one of the few (pictures) that actually shows the color difference. Most people don't know I'm legally blind in my right eye. When I tell them it's always, "Oh Yeah now I see the color difference!"
I did brighten the color up just a tad in the picture.
Also, a cool tid-bit about my cataract.... my eyes are always dilated differently. Right one is smaller than the left one. Always will be.

Prayers and Procrastinators
Learning this blog thing, day by day.
My grandmother will be getting out of the hospital today, so thank's everyone for your prayers. The power of prayer really does work! She is doing better.
Slow day at work today, only three check ins. Maybe I can leave early.
I've learned a lot about procrastinators. I understand life gets busy, but I don't understand secretaries. I have had so many different scenarios where the secretary has messed up a reservation. I don't understand why the person doesn't just call themselves. Are we that lazy these days, that we need to have someone else set up everything? So many things involved in traveling, but I surely love the procrastinators.
This weekend is the Republican National Convention, being held literally a few blocks from my hotel. Now, being in downtown, and being a hotel of a smaller nature, we have been sold out for almost months now. Literally.
I've been getting calls for weeks now, of frustrated people who can't find hotel rooms. I tell them, "Sir/ma'am, the RNC is coming into town." That's bringing over 11,000 people into my town. You have chosen to call two days before your day of arrival to try (and the convention) and set up a room, and well, tough luck because there are none. Funny how it is my fault.
"Well, do you know of any other hotels that have rooms?"
Do I look like your damn secretary? I know you've called everyone on your list, and you are probably at the end of your line. Should-a been prepared and called a while ago. So now, we have three-four days that we are completely sold out downtown, and you are bitching at me because someone I don't even know decided to have a stupid Convention here.
I'm always nice, and bleed customer service, and can tell you all the hotels around here. Sadly, they are sold out too. Sucks to be you.
Funny how life plays out sometimes. I want to slap some "Bosses" that come up to my desk, "Well my secretary made it." Well she needs to be fired you lazy dumb ass.
-Another thing is don't try and get around the rules for Expedia. Been dealing with people who book through that for YEARS. We know DAMN FUCKING WELL that it says After 3pm is check-in time. Don't come at 11am, acting all stupid, "Oh well the website didn't say that." Oh yes it does! We have made NUMEROUS "Play" reservations and we are well aware of every bit of information it spews at you.
I've heard so many sob stories of why you need to get into the hotel room early, but the bottom story is - You made your flight early, and now you are stuck here.
I can't go ask the previous room tenants to leave.
If they req a 2pm checkout, and your just DYING to get into your Jacuzzi tub at 1, well shit. Looks like you'll have a visitor don't it?
The world does not revolve around you. You may think it is, walking through the airport like your tough shit, but I still control where you sleep. Don't ever forget that. If you piss me off, I can refuse service to anyone.
President Obama could come strolling through the doors, and I could (and would) refuse service to him. Anyone, I have that right, as an American.
I am treated like it is all my fault that this Convention is here, and talked down upon like I am the biggest idiot in the world. Just remember, your the idiot who is going to have stay in a hotel 15 miles from your destination.
